An average begining -"The Law of Averages"
Born into a modest, working-class family, my life was a canvas of average colours—average school, average grades, average dreams.
The aspiration for engineering was revoked by the crisp reality of my marks; I was no academic Hercules.
I did not know how to get good marks and reading books which I did not like, surely didn’t help me to fetch them.
With aspirations bigger than my reality, I worked tirelessly - teaching tally as an instructor by day, and the voice of promises as a tele-caller executive by night, all while navigating the murky waters of graduation, to gather some extra pennies for an MBA dream.
I did get an admission in an MBA course this time and got the degree… But I didn’t know what I was going to do in my life. The only thing I could think of was getting a decent job.
My post-MBA era was a marathon of perseverance—13 years of average performance through the sales sector's trenches.
I was never the star of the show, I chased the targets but have never been the one who bathed in the spotlight of accolades.
I was just an average performer, simply because I did not know HOW to produce results which I wanted.
Just once, in the year 2014, my name inked on a certificate felt like a lone star in a vast, empty sky.
Yet, in the middle of this backdrop of relentless grind from Sun up to Sun down, there was a distressful void, a yearning for something more.
It wasn't enough to just doing repeatedly what I was told to do; I was seeking answers about how to change something that I don’t like.
And as I did not know any better, I was just living and hoping that someday things will be better on their own.
Because I didn’t know HOW to change my results.
